All Star Named One of the 2019 Largest Locum Tenens Staffing Firms in the U.S.

All Star Recruiting (now All Star Healthcare Solutions), one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing companies in the United States, was ranked one of the “Largest Healthcare Staffing Firms in the U.S.” in a 2019 update by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions.
Moreover, the company earned a top-10 spot (#8) on the list of “Largest Locum Tenens Staffing Firms in the U.S: 2019.”
In their report released earlier this month, SIA estimated that a total of 49 staffing firms each generated $50 million or more in U.S. healthcare staffing revenue in 2018. Combined, these firms generated $12.7 billion in such revenue, accounting for 75 percent of the market.
“We are honored by this recognition, which is a testament to the efforts of the entire All Star organization,” says Keith Shattuck, the company’s CEO. “Our people are the lifeblood of All Star’s dedicated, high-achieving culture.
“We are committed to consistently delivering ‘Red Carpet’ Service to our clients, our providers, and, by extension, the patients we serve,” he continues. “All Star is grateful for this acknowledgement, and will continue to inspire trust and confidence, and strive to make a significant impact on ensuring patients have the access they need to qualified physicians and advanced practitioners.”
All Star Celebrates Gratitude Day, Exceeds Fundraising Goal for Jorge Nation Foundation

All Star Recruiting (now All Star Healthcare Solutions) marked its annual Gratitude Day celebration by effecting its purpose, “All Star Cares.” Along with spreading appreciation and joy throughout the office, its people embraced the goal of raising at least $10,000 to send a child and his/her family on a Jorge Nation Foundation (JNF) “Dream Trip.”
“Gratitude is our attitude,” states Keith Shattuck, the firm’s CEO and a JNF board member. “It is at our core as well as the first of our Core Values. Supporting JNF, which sends seriously ill kids and their families on all-inclusive trips from South Florida to the destination of their choice, is a natural addition to the day.”
All Star employees raised money for the nonprofit organization by participating in a “night before” kickoff event; purchasing items, such as balloon-grams, snacks, and song shout-outs; creating/buying silent auction baskets; and signing up for activities, including yoga and a ping-pong tournament.
“JNF works with the leading pediatric hospitals in the area for referrals of qualified children and families for consideration,” Shattuck adds. “Children’s responses when they learn they and their family have been selected to go on a ‘Dream Trip’ and the parents’ reactions to the news – there’s nothing that compares to either.”
This is something Diana Constantine can attest to firsthand. Her son, Nicolai, was diagnosed with childhood leukemia last year. She says JNF gave her family the sense of normalcy they had been missing. “The eight months my son received treatment were intense. In March 2019, we learned he was granted a Disney Cruise vacation through JNF. It was so special and the first time we were able to do something as a family since his diagnosis.”
All Star not only met its $10,000 goal for the Gratitude Day fundraiser but also exceeded it, raising a total of $19,206.55. This means two chronically or terminally ill children and their families can enjoy once-in-a-lifetime “Dream Trips” in the near future.
“The All Star family is comprised of the most dedicated, caring people on Earth,” says Shattuck. “They achieved our Gratitude Day goal through their kindness and generosity. Working alongside them every day is an honor and a privilege.”
All Star Makes Florida Trend’s Top 100 Best Companies List

All Star has been named one of the Sunshine State's 2019 Best Companies to Work For. The full-service healthcare staffing firm, which places physicians and advanced practitioners in permanent positions and locum tenens jobs throughout the United States, was also recognized among this year's Best Staffing Firms to Work For by Staffing Industry Analysts.
The annual Best Companies list is featured in the August issue of Florida Trend magazine. One hundred companies are ranked in small, medium, and large employer categories. All Star Recruiting (now All Star Healthcare Solutions) ranks in the best midsized company category.
“We are honored to be distinguished as one of the 2019 Best Companies to Work For in Florida,” said the company’s CEO, Keith Shattuck. “Each of our people is integral in the delivery of our signature ‘red carpet’ service, providing an exceptional, high-level experience for the clinicians and clients—and by extension, patients—we serve. In addition, they are passionate about being there for each other, like family, and doing charitable work for our community and organizations like the Jorge Nation Foundation. Providing them with a great work environment, continuous opportunities to learn and grow, excellent benefits, and fun activities and events is the least we can do. Our people make our company the best place to be.”
To participate in the Best Companies to Work For in Florida program, firms or government entities had to employ at least 15 workers in Florida and have been in operation at least one year. Companies that chose to participate underwent an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The process also included a survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
“This year, we spoke with Millennial employees of the Best Companies to Work For to get their perspectives on their workplaces and work experiences,” says Executive Editor Mark Howard. “It’s clear that the best companies know how to attract Millennials and then engage them once they’ve been hired. Millennials want what every employee wants — a workplace environment that helps them be productive and a chance for input into how work gets done.”
"These best companies have figured it out!" says Florida Trend Publisher David Denor. “Providing their employees with an environment and culture that promotes growth both professionally and personally - all while delivering workplace benefits that lift employee morale and create loyalty ... these best companies offer lessons we can all learn from.”
The Best Companies to Work For in Florida program was created by Florida Trend and Best Companies Group and is endorsed by the HR Florida State Council. Best Companies Group managed the registration, survey, and analysis and determined the final rankings. Ideas for Celebrating National Doctors' Day at Your Facility

This Saturday is National Doctors’ Day! Hospitals, health systems, clinics, and medical practices across the country will be honoring their permanent physicians and locum tenens doctors in a variety of ways, from offering them specialty services, such as onsite mini massages, to hosting formal ceremonies.
If you are looking for a few things to flesh out your festivities, read on. We have taken the short turnaround time into consideration as well as variance in availability of resources to help you quickly put any of the following plans into play.
- Present your physicians with National Doctors’ Day Certificates of Appreciation. Microsoft Word offers free certificate templates that can easily be customized and printed for the occasion. If time and your budget permit, you could purchase printable parchment certificate paper from a local office store. Certificates could be delivered to your doctors in a personalized folder or framed.
- Treat your doctors to breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Depending on the number of honorees/attendees, a catered affair could be an excellent way to go. Alternatively, you could bring in desserts, cheese and crackers, fruit-and-vegetable trays, and other tasty fare for a casual gathering. Support staff and other members of your team will likely want to add to the celebration by bringing in their homemade specialties and other treats, too.
- Give your physicians red carnations. The symbolic flower of National Doctors’ Day will be particularly meaningful to your physicians. It represents love, charity, sacrifice, bravery, and courage. You can present them as boutonnieres/corsages or in individual vases.
- Make it easy for patients to share their well wishes, too. Keep blank or “thank you” notecards on hand in locations where patients can easily spot them—such as reception areas, waiting rooms, and nurses’ stations—in a container with clearly marked signage that states, “Wish Your Doctor a Happy Doctors’ Day!” Ask a creative colleague to fashion a cardboard or basket “mailbox,” so patients know where to place their notes of appreciation.
Of course, as in most instances, few things can compare with a genuine expression of gratitude. Individually thanking your physicians for their lifesaving work, special accomplishments, and valuable contributions to patients’ lives and the well-being of your community will truly underscore your appreciation.
All Star’s client-side consultants are dedicated to helping you find the best physicians and advanced practitioners for your locum tenens and/or permanent staffing needs.

All Star Named as Best Staffing Company 2019

All Star Recruiting (now All Star Healthcare Solutions), one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing companies in the United States, today announced it has been named a 2019 Best Staffing Firms to Work For winner. The award is given annually by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions, and recognizes employers for their top performance in engaging and deploying talent. Winners were recognized at SIA’s 28th annual Executive Forum North America, held February 25 - 28 at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas.
“We are both humbled and honored to be included on SIA’s prestigious Best Staffing Firms to Work For list,” said Keith Shattuck, the company’s CEO. “Our people are the lifeblood of our organization, and the heart and soul of our caring, high-performance culture. We are dedicated to keeping them happy and engaged through opportunities for professional and personal growth and success, a comfortable environment conducive to collaboration, and a variety of fun, rapport-building activities and events.”
Distinguished for its exceptional workplace environment and culture, All Star is one of 14 U.S. staffing firms that scored in the top quartile of the “51 to 200 internal employees” award category. Other categories include North American companies with 10 to 20 internal employees, 21 to 50 internal employees, 201 to 500 internal employees, and over 501 internal employees; smaller and larger U.K. firms; and Best Staffing Company to Temp/Contract For. The Best Staffing Firms to Work For awards are sponsored by Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: MWW).
“Congratulations to the winners of this year’s Best Staffing Firm to Work For’ Awards,” said Barry Asin, President of SIA. “These high-performing companies stand out for their quality of leadership and as organizations that prioritize culture and employee engagement. There is a strong correlation between employee engagement and growth. These firms have made that connection and use it to excel in their business and drive outstanding results.”
Approximately 400 firms sought participation in the program this year, which was conducted by SIA in conjunction with Quantum Workplace, an Omaha, Nebraska-based company. Internal employees at each firm were asked to complete a 40-question online survey that measured 10 key engagement categories focusing on items including teamwork, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation, and benefits. There is no charge for participation and companies completing the survey receive a report highlighting their firm’s results.
To gather statistically sound results, participating companies must have reached a minimum level of employee participation, based on their total number of employees. Companies were ranked in each size category according to their overall score. Winners were chosen based entirely on the survey results.

“I first learned about JNF a few years ago from my friend, Ruben,” said Shattuck. “Since then—along with my wife, Lori, and son, Tyler—I have been an avid supporter, hosting events at All Star and personally raising funds to help chronically and incurably ill kids in our region and their families experience one-of-a-kind Dream Trips.
