Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Locum Tenens Job in Indiana

•  In-house call coverage
  • Monday-Thursday: 12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00)
  • Friday-Sunday: 24-hour shifts (07:00-07:00)
• Responsibilities:
  • Manage obstetrical patients
  • Manage gynecologic patients
  • Emergency Department consultations
  • Labor and delivery
  • Admissions
  • Inpatient care
  • Potential clinic coverage
• Primary need is call/in-house coverage; however, providers willing to assist with clinic coverage are also welcomed, as outpatient access is currently limited.
• Typically, one midwife is on call alongside the physician.
• No formal teaching responsibilities anticipated for this assignment.
• Volume:
  • Approximately 1,600 deliveries annually
  • Average of 10 patients per shift
  • Approximately 5 admissions per shift, largely based on delivery volume
• Additional Details:
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Beds in Department: 8
  • Board Certification required
  • No license needed for presentation
  • ABLS required
  • Level III Trauma Center
  • Call Ratio: 1:5
