Position Details
- Setting: Operating Room only (First Assist)
- Schedule: OR coverage with call for OR cases only (no clinic/office work). Call-back required as needed.
- Patient Volume:
- Outpatient: ~10 per day
- Inpatient: 5–8 per day
- Key Skill Required: Vein harvesting
- EMR: EPIC
Responsibilities
- First assist in cardiovascular/thoracic surgery
- Perform vein harvesting
- Conduct pre-operative physical exams
- Provide inpatient rounding
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Write prescriptions
- Perform suture removal
Submission Requirements (All Required)
- Active Indiana (IN) license at time of submission
- Certification Requirements:
- NCCPA (for PAs)
- AANP (for NPs)
- Maquet vein harvesting experience
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- Self-Query NPDB report (must be dated within 30 days of presentation)
