Psychiatry Physician Job in New York

All Star Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for full-time, ongoing locums coverage in Upstate New York. Please see below for additional details.

Additional Information

• Coverage Needed: Full-time, ongoing, starting as soon as credentialed
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8a–4:40p
• Call Requirements: Shared call responsibilities, including nights and at least one weekend per month
• Worksite Setting: 100% inpatient
• Patient Population: Primarily children and adolescents, with a preference for providers comfortable treating patients of all ages
• Scope of Work: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and ongoing patient care
• Clinical Responsibilities: Collaborate with an established team of psychiatrists and clinicians on assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Common Diagnoses: Depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders
• Patient Volume:
  • Child/Adolescent Unit: Average length of stay of 10–12 days, with a maximum of 2 admissions or discharges per day
  • Adult Unit: Average length of stay of 10 days, with approximately 3–4 admissions and discharges per day
• Board Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• License Requirements: Active New York license and DEA
• EMR: Medent
