We are seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Wisconsin. This ongoing assignment is available due to a long-term physician vacancy and offers a collaborative practice environment with strong clinical support.
Position Highlights
- Full-time schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Ongoing assignment
- Inpatient and outpatient practice
- Established multidisciplinary oncology team
- Cerner EMR
- Temporary privileges available
Clinical Responsibilities
- Hematology-focused practice
- Bone marrow biopsies
- Inpatient and outpatient consultations
- Management of acute leukemia patients
- Chemotherapy patient supervision
- Daily rounding responsibilities
- Participation in call coverage rotation
Support & Resources
- Collaborative team of physicians and APPs
- Dedicated nursing support
- Nurse navigators
- Infusion center support staff
- Access to radiation oncology services
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Completion of Hematology/Oncology Fellowship
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications
- Bone marrow biopsy experience required
- Strong inpatient and outpatient hematology experience preferred
Call Coverage
- 1:4 call rotation
- Primarily phone-based call
- Limited call-back burden
- Shared clinic and hospital responsibilities
Additional Details
- Estimated credentialing time: 60 days
- Malpractice coverage provided
- Travel and lodging available per policy
- Ongoing need with potential for long-term assignment
