We are seeking a Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for an upcoming locum tenens assignment in Kentucky. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-supported cardiac surgery program with dedicated cardiac anesthesia, first assist support, and access to a hybrid operating room.
Assignment Highlights
- Ongoing locum opportunity
- 24-hour call coverage (7a-7a)
- 4-7 shifts available per month
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- EPIC EMR
- Dedicated cardiac surgery support staff
- Hybrid OR and cardiac operating room available
Clinical Requirements
- Adult Cardiac Surgery
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Valve Repair and Replacement Procedures
- ICU Management of High-Risk Cardiac Patients
- Impella Support Experience
- Structural Heart Procedure Coverage
- Thoracic surgery experience is a plus but not required
Qualifications
- Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon
- Active BLS Certification
- Clean Background History
- Kentucky License Preferred (providers willing to obtain licensure encouraged to apply)

Coverage is needed for:
- December 24-28, 2026
- December 28, 2026 through January 4, 2027
