Cardiothoracic-Surgery PA Locums Opportunity in Connecticut

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• End date: 6-12 month contract
• Practice Setting: Inpatient only
• Schedule: 8-hour days (Monday-Friday), potential call, and 24-hour shifts
• Average Number of Patients Per Day: 10
• EMR: EPIC
• Trauma Level: Level 1
• 600 bed hospital
• Coverage at 2 sites (35-mile distance)
• Will the provider be working autonomously: Yes
• Supervising physician present during assignment: No
• Board Certified NCCPA
• Connecticut License in hand at time of submission
• ACLS BLS required

REQUIRED DUTIES

• Pre-Op Physical Exams
• Suture Removal
• Diagnose Illnesses
• Treat Illnesses
• Order Tests
• Interpret Tests
• Assist in Surgery
• Write Prescriptions
• Coordination of Care
• Rounding

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Placement of Central Venous and Dialysis Catheters
• Placement of Arterial Lines and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps
• Endoscopic Retrieval
• **NO BALLOON PUMPS**
