Description
A free-standing cancer center is seeking a physician specializing in medical oncology to provide locum tenens coverage across two locations. This opportunity includes outpatient and inpatient responsibilities with no call during the locum period.

- Outpatient: 25 patients per day
- Inpatient (rounding): 20 patients per day
- Patient Mix: Adult and geriatric
- Setting: Free-standing cancer center with outpatient and inpatient coverage
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Support Staff:
- Seven physicians
- Six advanced practice providers
- Nurse oncologists for chemotherapy administration
- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Participation on tumor board
- Management of bone marrow transplants
- Blood bank coordination
- Ordering tests and imaging
- Prescribing medications
- EMR: EPIC
- Dates: 4 week availability each month, with 4 days of availability each week- must be able to work for at least 6 month initial contract
- Call: No call during locum period
